Elizabeth Margaret Price (1856-1943)
This daughter was known as 'Maggie' and was with her sister Julia at the Indies School in 1861 and, although only 4 years old, was recorded in the census as a boarder. She was living with her parents in Greenwich in 1871, aged 14, and married John Pinder Barker on 24th September 1878 at Trinity Church, Bangalore, India (as reported in the Times of India). The groom was the son of Capt. William Charles Barker, "late of the Indian Navy" (see below). John worked for the Mysore Revenue Survey, so was in the same profession as WSP II, but in a Princely State. They had three sons, John Stafford Barker (6th September 1879), Charles Ainslie Barker (12th December 1880) and Harry Pinder Barker (4th June 1883) and also a daughter, Margaret Ethel Mary Barker (14th September 1890). John and Charles were staying with their grandparents in Greenwich for the 1891 census, but the rest of the Barker family seem to have been abroad.
